I’m David Tabachnikov. I run ScholarshipOwl, make Hacking Modern Life, build software and hardware, and take photographs whenever the light gives me a reason.

I joined ScholarshipOwl as CTO in 2016 and later became CEO. Before that, I was a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where my work included Waze.

Why all four?

Companies, videos, prototypes, and photographs look like separate pursuits. To me they’re the same habit: notice a system, get close enough to understand it, and make something useful from what you learn.

This site is where those threads share a workbench. Some entries will be polished. Others will still have solder on them.
